This eye-catching unisex Cofiwch Dryweryn hoddie has been designed for a bold and unique look to make you stand out in the crowd. Great gift for anyone who is from Wales.
"The Remember Tryweryn Wall" is a graffitied stone wall next to the A487 road at Llanrhystud, outside Aberystwyth, Wales. The Welsh words "Cofiwch Dryweryn" were painted by journalist and author Meic Stephens, at a time of national unrest following the decision to permanently flood the village of Capel Celyn to create a reservoir for Liverpool City Council in the early 1960s.
Due to the prominent location and stark message, the wall has become an unofficial national landmark. The phrase"Cofiwch Dryweryn"has itself become a prominent political slogan for Welsh nationalism appearing on T-shirts, banners and as replica murals.
